Designed by Japanese artist Sanjyo Shishi, the "Cat Bodhisattva" gashapon is themed on the Buddhist Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, allowing cats to transform into different shapes of Avalokitesvara. The expressions of each cat are full of compassion and Buddha-nature.
